This is a stock replacement voltage regulator with screw terminals which comes already adjusted. For use on negative or positive ground systems. 

This regulator has contacts under the cap which have to be monitored and adjusted throughout the lifetime of this product.

When fit with a stock generator, we tend to swap the car to negative ground (if that switch hasn't already been done) and install our  for a reliability upgrade that requires no adjustment throughout the life of the unit (unlike this one).
